Although months may have passed since word first leaked that Jay-Z and long-time girlfriend Beyoncé tied the knot, the hip-hop star finally talks about his marriage—and defends the couple’s decision to keep the details of their wedding private. According to MTV.com, interviewer Elliot Wilson from “Vibe” magazine asked the rapper 15 questions – with No. 15 being, after Jay-Z had referred to Beyoncé as a “friend”: “You said your 'friend,' but this is your wife. Are you still not willing to confirm?” ”That's ridiculous for me to confirm,” replies Jay-Z. “I don't have ... I'm gonna say, I think that was a ridiculous question. I just think it's really a part of your life that you gotta keep to yourself.” Jay-Z continues to then say: “You have to, or you'll go insane in this type of business. You have to have something that's sacred to you and the people around you.” |

Beyonce Knowles is rumoured to be appearing in this year’s finale of Australian Idol, as producers call upon international superstars to help revamp the show. Stevie Wonder’s name is also being thrown around – he is reported to be appearing on the show in October. A source has told The Sydney Morning Herald, the Bootylicious popstar has given a lukewarm response when asked to make a cameo appearance, but fellow Destiny’s Child singer Kelly Rowland may grace the Opera House steps instead. Kicking off its sixth season on August 24, Australian Idol took a massive nose dive in ratings last year, with winner Natalie Gauci yet to release an album. A number of changes will be implemented this year in hope to win back audiences. Viewers can say goodbye to the ‘touchdowns’ and ‘Goony Goo Goos’ uttered from Mark Holden, a new judge will be joining Marcia Hines and Dicko. Former series favourite Ricki-Lee Coulter will be co-hosting, joining Andrew G and the crew, traveling to London to expand the search for Aussie talent. Producers are promising ‘a lot more variety’ among contestants this year, who will be singing for a significantly more lucrative first prize. |
